Our vision is "To build a radical church family of 1000 committed members reaching from the city to the sea". This can be broken down and explained further as follows.

'To build...'

This means that it is very much a work in progress. It is still in the early stages and this is a very exciting time for us.

'...a radical...'

Radical is about the essential nature of who we are and what we do. We want to build a church that follows the Bible. This means that we value worship, evangelism, fellowship, discipleship and ministry.

'...church family...'

There are many different word pictures used in the bible to describe the church. The most common one is that it is God's family. This means that we relate to one another in the way a good family would, with genuine love and respect. We are committed to see that new believers grow and mature in their faith. We are committed to see that children, young adults and seniors amongst us are well cared for, according to their particular needs. God's family is for all people regardless of their race, colour, age or social status; God's family is for all the nations of the world.

Chichester is the only city in West Sussex and serves a large rural area with thousands of people. It is the county town and a centre of local government. We want to build a church family of a size that reflects the community that we will serve. We do not want to see numbers for numbers' sake, but so that we can see lives changed and the whole community blessed.
